QUEEN CITY BABE RUTH LEAGUE (13-14's)  &  CLARK GRIFFITH BABE RUTH LEAGUE (15-16 & 18U)

Our 2007 spring season is underway! We have 20 teams in our 13-14 age division and 10 teams in our 16U division. We also have 7 teams in our new METRO division. Competitive youth baseball without extensive travel and expense. With gas prices climbing to over $3 per gallon it's nice to travel no more than across town to play good baseball!

Summer 2007 has great potential for fun! West Mecklenburg Athletic Association, our newest Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth league, will host the 13yr old Babe Ruth State Tournament this July. Winner will advance to South East Regional play in Union City, TN.

Charlotte will also host the 16yr old and 18 & under Babe Ruth State Tournaments in late July. With a birth to the 16 year old Regional Tournament at stake the 16's should be a good competitive group this year. We are working now to settle a location for the 16 and 18U state tournaments. We plan to hold them at the same field over a 5 day span starting July 17th. Plan to come out and see some games!

We could also use volunteers! Concessions, t-shirt sales, scorekeeper and a host of other volunteer positions. We could use your help. If you are interested in helping out this summer contact us a volunteer@brd6.org

The 15 yr old & 16 yr old Babe Ruth South East Regional Tournaments will be in Unionville, NC (just outside Monroe) back to back weeks in late July and early August. The regional winners will each advance to a 15 & 16 yr old Babe Ruth World Series! The 15's World Series is yet to be determined. The 16's will be in Bertonville, AR.      (list of all star dates and locations)
