Advantages:

Leadership - Joining a national organization that has supported youth baseball for over 50 years has many advantages. Support and leadership from national, regional, state and district levels gives leagues lots of resources and everyday help with many of the demanding issues presented by parents and players. Consistent rules and polices make your league structure work better.
Insurance - K&K is the official insurer of Babe Ruth League Inc. Chartering with Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth allows you to purchase insurance for your teams at a substantial discount while still receiving good coverage. Our insurance covers your teams during any team or league sanctioned gathering. Fast, reliable claims service is also a great advantage.
Competition - Our local leagues are strong and will give your group good teams to compete with. Remember a good team is only good if they have someone to compete against. Healthy competition is the backbone of any league.
Tournaments - On a local and state level we are working on programs to help your league keep it's better players. So many leagues have been devastated by Nations Baseball, AAU, USSSA and other leagues. We believe we have a program to offer as an alternative. Challenge tournaments and extra baseball is a part of the local Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth league.
All Star Competition - Cal Ripken offers summer all star tournaments for 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 year old teams. Teams start with an "area" tournament to determine who goes to the state tournament. The state tournament determines who goes to the regional tournament. The regional winner goes to the "World Series". Note: there is no world series for 6, 7, 8 yr old tournament teams. Babe Ruth post season has the same opportunities. Each age division has a tournament trail ending with a "World Series". (13, 14, 15 and 18U)
